Group travel is planned around the reason for it. A temple yatra is shaped by darshan timings, a wedding by the muhurtham, a school excursion by daylight and permitted capacity. Pick the occasion and the page tells you which vehicle fits, what the road allows, and what each person pays.

Vehicle choice is really a head-count decision. Below six a sedan is cheaper; at thirteen the per-head cost is the lowest in the fleet; above seventeen you are choosing between one mini bus and two vehicles.

Cost per person, on the routes groups actually take

Round-trip fare divided by the seats you are paying for. This is the figure that decides a group trip, and almost nobody publishes it.

Fares include fuel and driver allowance. Tolls, parking and interstate permits are extra at actuals. Round trips out of Bengaluru carry a 300 km per day minimum. Point-to-point fares for these routes are published on sara.cab.
