Group outstation travel from Bangalore
Travelling as a group? Start with the occasion, not the route.
Ertiga, Tempo Traveller and Force Urbania for pilgrimages, weddings, corporate offsites, school trips, long weekends and festival travel out of Bangalore. Every page shows what the trip costs per person — the number the organiser actually has to answer for.
Driver allowance included in every fare. Tolls, parking and interstate permits extra at actuals.
What is the trip for?
Group travel is planned around the reason for it. A temple yatra is shaped by darshan timings, a wedding by the muhurtham, a school excursion by daylight and permitted capacity. Pick the occasion and the page tells you which vehicle fits, what the road allows, and what each person pays.
Pilgrimage & Yatra
A temple trip is planned differently from a holiday. The group is usually larger, often spans three generations, and the day is shaped by…
Wedding & Family Functions
Wedding transport is not a trip, it is a timetable. The vehicle is idle for most of the day and then everything depends on…
Corporate
Corporate transport is bought differently from family travel. The person booking is rarely the person travelling, the decision runs on a GST invoice and…
School & College
Educational trips are booked by someone who is personally accountable if anything goes wrong, and that changes what matters. The rate is a line…
Recreation & Leisure
Leisure trips are the bookings where the group argues about the vehicle for longer than about the destination, and usually for the wrong reasons.…
Festival & Seasonal
Festival travel is the one category where the constraint is availability rather than price. On Dasara weekend, Diwali week and between Christmas and New…
Or start from how many people are travelling
Vehicle choice is really a head-count decision. Below six a sedan is cheaper; at thirteen the per-head cost is the lowest in the fleet; above seventeen you are choosing between one mini bus and two vehicles.
The fleet
Seven vehicles, from a six-seat Ertiga to a twenty-five-seat mini bus. Seat counts and luggage figures on these pages are the honest ones, not the brochure ones — a Tempo Traveller's overhead racks take soft bags and not suitcases, and we would rather say so here than at the pickup.
Ertiga
The smallest vehicle on this site, and the entry point for group travel. Below six people a sedan is cheaper; at six the Ertiga is the only vehicle where nobody sits sideways.
Tempo Traveller 12
The best cost per person of anything on this site. If the group is eight or more and the budget matters more than recliner seats, this is the answer.
Tempo Traveller 17
The workhorse for temple groups and school excursions. Seventeen seats at the lowest per-head cost available anywhere in the fleet.
Urbania 10
Ten pushback seats and a boot that swallows a family's luggage. The version to pick when the group is small enough that everyone wants to recline.
Urbania 13
The most-booked Urbania. Thirteen recliners, standing headroom and a real boot — the default choice for corporate offsites and wedding-party transport.
Urbania 17
Maximum seats without moving to a bus. Seventeen recliners for large corporate groups and wedding convoys that must stay together in one vehicle.
Cost per person, on the routes groups actually take
Round-trip fare divided by the seats you are paying for. This is the figure that decides a group trip, and almost nobody publishes it.
