Luggage, honestly
With all seventeen seats full, the boot alone will not take seventeen trolleys. Budget for a roof carrier if every passenger has a suitcase.
What it is good for, and what it is not
The extended body needs more turning room. Fine on all highways and on the Coorg, Chikmagalur and Ooty ghats, but tight on narrow village temple approaches.
Cost per person on 20 routes from Bangalore
Round-trip fare for this vehicle, divided by its seat count. Use it to compare against the other vehicles at your group size rather than as a quote — your actual per-head cost depends on how many of the seats you are filling.

Occasions this vehicle suits
Tirupati Yatra
Tirupati is the most-booked group trip out of Bangalore, and the one most often planned badly. The mistake is treating it as a 250 km drive.…
Dharmasthala & Kukke Subramanya Yatra Vehicle
Dharmasthala and Kukke Subramanya are usually done together, and they are usually done wrong in one day. The two temples are 60 km apart on hill…
Melukote & Shravanabelagola Day Tour
This is the rare yatra out of Bangalore that genuinely fits in a day, and the one we recommend to groups doing their first temple trip…
Muhurtham Day Guest Shuttle
The muhurtham shuttle is the job where standby hours matter more than kilometres. A vehicle might cover thirty kilometres across a whole day and be indispensable…
Multi-Vehicle Wedding Convoy
Above about thirty guests, one vehicle stops being the answer and convoy discipline becomes the thing that matters. A convoy that leaves together and arrives together…
Temple Wedding Travel
A temple wedding outside Bangalore inverts the usual travel problem. The muhurtham is fixed and unmovable, often between four and seven in the morning, and everything…
Compare with the rest of the fleet
Ertiga
The smallest vehicle on this site, and the entry point for group travel. Below six people a sedan is cheaper; at six the Ertiga is the only vehicle where nobody sits sideways.
Tempo Traveller 12
The best cost per person of anything on this site. If the group is eight or more and the budget matters more than recliner seats, this is the answer.
Urbania 10
Ten pushback seats and a boot that swallows a family's luggage. The version to pick when the group is small enough that everyone wants to recline.
Urbania 13
The most-booked Urbania. Thirteen recliners, standing headroom and a real boot — the default choice for corporate offsites and wedding-party transport.
Urbania 17
Maximum seats without moving to a bus. Seventeen recliners for large corporate groups and wedding convoys that must stay together in one vehicle.
Mini Bus
For groups above seventeen, where splitting into two Tempo Travellers costs more and separates the party.
Our honest view
This is the vehicle we book most, and the one where we most often have to talk a group out of an itinerary. Seventeen seats is a lot of people to move up a narrow temple approach or down an estate track, and the vehicle's length is the constraint rather than its power. Send us the destination and the resort or temple name and we will tell you before you book whether it reaches the gate.
