On Dasara weekend, Diwali week and between Christmas and New Year, every operator in Bangalore is out of vehicles, and the groups that travel comfortably are the ones that booked six weeks earlier. The second thing that separates a good festival trip from a bad one is accepting how much slower the roads are. A Mysore drive that takes three and a half hours in July takes six on Dasara Saturday, and an itinerary built on the July figure falls apart before lunch.

Before you book
If your travel falls in any of these windows, book early and be honest with us about your flexibility. There are festival dates where we simply have no vehicle of a given size left, and knowing that in September is a solvable problem while discovering it in October is not.
