Three medium trolleys fit behind the third row only if the third row is empty. With all six seats occupied, plan on two medium trolleys plus soft bags on laps.
What it is good for, and what it is not
Comfortable up to about 250 km each way. Beyond that the third row becomes tiring on ghat roads.

Our honest view
One thing worth checking before you book an Ertiga rather than something larger: whether anybody in the group will need the third row for more than about three hours. It is a genuine seat, not a jump seat, but it sits over the rear axle and on a ghat road it is the least pleasant place in the vehicle. Groups of six who are all adults and all travelling far usually end up happier in a ten-seater Urbania.
